Your dataset is processed in memory for the length of one scan. redactdesk does not store it.
What is processed
When you run a scan, the text of your records is sent from our server to Rezunate at rezunatellm.com for detection. We hold the text in memory for the length of each request and do not write it to disk or to logs.
A PDF is read in your browser. The file is never uploaded to our server: your browser extracts the text from its pages, and only that extracted text is sent to Rezunate for detection, in the same batches as any other file. Images, annotations and form fields are not read. We do not store the PDF or its text.
Replacements, the before and after diff, the report and the manifest are built in your browser. The cleaned file (for a PDF, a text-only rebuild made in your browser) and the manifest are downloaded to your device and nowhere else.
We cannot speak for how Rezunate handles text on its side beyond saying that it is sent to Rezunate for detection.
What is stored
Your last-used entity types and mode are kept in your browser's local storage on your device, so the options are remembered next time. Clear them by clearing site data.
Our host keeps standard request logs. They hold the time, route, status and a network address, and never the contents of a dataset. To limit abuse we keep a counter per hashed network address for under an hour. There are no accounts, no saved history and no cookies for tracking.
Who processes it
Two services handle your data on our behalf.
Vercel hosts the website and runs the server routes. Rezunate at rezunatellm.com detects the entities in the text it is sent.
The limits of detection
Detection is automatic and imperfect. Spot-check before sale. Detection is statistical. Some values are missed, especially short ones with no surrounding text, such as a bare number.
Every highlight is labelled "Detected by Rezunate". Review the diff and the report before you share or sell a file. redactdesk does not claim any compliance certification and does not promise that every entity is found.
